After shopping around at many different stores, we happened upon Mary’s. Our first time in, we were cheerfully greeted and helped. With the help of Liberty, our decision was a quick one. A perfect choice of color and selection was a wonderful match for out daughter’s pageant. Fittings were an ease of mind and all of our requests were answered!! Special sequins were sewn to enhance special made straps. What a beautiful job on the finished product! Thank you so much Liberty for all your input and efforts to make this a very special occasion!

My daughter Jen asked me to fo to Mary’s Designer Bridal Boutique to look at the perfect dress. My first comment was “Why do you want to go to a designer shop? It will be too expensive.” She talked me into going and I am so glad we went. What an experience. Mary met with us and was absolutely amazing. Jen did find the perfect dress and it was in our budget! Last summer when my stepson, Jeff, announced his engagement, I began to think about a dress for his big day. I had a very disappointing experience early on, trying to fit a rack dress over my body challenges, not the least of which a 70 Degree spinal curve. A friend suggested Mary’s. I came to select a dress style and a dress color in late February at her boutique in Annapolis.
Today, I am leaving her shop with my beautiful gown. Mary personally supervised the fittings, suggested the perfect jacket style, helped me with a selection of earrings and other pearl accessories and finally made me a Fendi clutch purse with pearl trim. I am delighted that my dress is elegant with simple lines and look forward to wearing it at the wedding and in the future.

Mary has made my daughter’s pre-wedding experience so enjoyable, elegant & pain free. Her expertise as an artist of wedding gowns is incredible. They made my daughter, Heather feel like SHE was the only bride they were fitting.
All the nervousness that Heather & I (Mother) was gone shortly after entering Mary’s. Her staff knew EVERYTHING about making Heather’s day the most special day of her life.
Amazingly as it sounds, the very first dress Mary chose for Heather, which was an original creation of Mary’s, was breathtaking and positively HEATHER.
Being married at the US Naval Academy on November 8, 2008, Mary insured us that the designs of the gown captured designs prominent in the USNA Chapel.
We are so thrilled that she could make our Heather’s day so fabulous.
Having to fly in from Florida for Heather’s first fitting, we again were flabbergasted that the fit was exactly perfect to a “T.”
Mary does it all- gown for a queen, shoes, jewelry-you name it. She is an amazingly talented woman & an asset to Annapolis!

When I walked into Mary’s Bridal, I was struck by all the beautiful dresses that were on the mannequins. One really gets to see the look of a dress when it is displayed in this manner. My Mom and I were met by very friendly staff and the owner spent the time out of her busy day to introduce herself and comment on my dress. I received quality personal attention, and I felt they were trully attempting to make me look my best by giving me honest opinions and recommendations. I would recommend this Bridal Salon to anyone. I really had no idea what kind of dress I was looking for when I started looking for a wedding dress. I had been to another shop where I had tried on about 10 different gowns, some were very pretty and I had even considered buying one, but decided I should go to one more place before committing. I came to Mary’s not really knowing what to expect. Before I even looked at any dresses, Mary sat down and talked with me for about 30 minutes about what I liked about myself and what vision I had for my gown. Then she put me in a dressing room and came back with a gown that I would have never picked out myself, but as soon as I put it on I was completely blown away by how beautiful I felt. I did not feel this way about any other dress I had tried on. That was it! I had the dress I wanted and it only took the dress to decide. I didn’t bother looking at anything else. Mary’s was a great place for me to go especially since, unlike most brides, I had no concept of what I wanted. The service was very good and the staff was always very polite. I am pleased with my experience here.

In July 2007, I became engaged to the most wonderful man. The first thing I wanted to do was purchase a wedding gown. Not being a shopper and promising myself that I would lose 20 pounds, I ordered several gowns from a bridal salon on-line in sizes 2 sizes smaller. Needless to say, I felt like a sausage. I then purchased a gown in my current size and was happy to find a gown that fit. Months passed and I became increasingly dissatisfied with how I looked in my gown. 8 days before my wedding set for out of the country, I happened upon Mary’s. I came in and was assisted by Dorothy. My mom and I stopped by Mary’s in January while my fiancé and step-dad were sailing. We had been to Mary’s previously, and purchased two gorgeous gowns for my step-brother’s wedding. Mary sat us down and we discussed what kind of gown I was interested in. I had no idea! She suggested a beautiful strapless, A-Line gown decorated with lace and diamonds. It was the perfect dress! Mary created a dress for my sister when she married in October 2007. Unfortunately, I couldn’t go with Mom and Amy when she picked it out, so I went to Mary’s to peek in the window for a glimpse. As I pulled up to the curb, I saw a lovely creation of coral, crystals and ruffles spotlighted in the window. I fell in love with the dress and thought it perfect for the upcoming Inaugural Ball.
Four months later, I stopped in to see if it was still in the window. Alas, someone else had waltzed away with it, but Mary showed me a similar design. Ahhh… she captured the essence of my personality in pairing the spun gold lace overlay with Swarovski crystals scattered about the coral mist bodice and her Givenchy bustle styled skirt. Her knowledge of fabrics, the way she re-creates the vision in her mind of what you desire and the illusions she crafts from them are absolutely stunning!

In Mary, I finally found the designer for whom I have been looking and I think when Joshua sees me alighting down the stairs that evening, he will call me Helen of Troy indeed.

Dear Mary,

From the moment I walked in Mary’s Bridal Boutique I knew this was not your typical bridal store. The staff was very friendly and the gowns were beautifully displayed, unique and truly stunning!
I was introduced to Mary, the owner and designer of the majority of the wedding gowns. I explained that my wedding was next week in Antigua and that I already had a dress, but was interested in what she had for a destination/beach wedding. She thoughtfully inquired about my preferences for a wedding dress, body likes/dislikes, and description of our wedding location. She then pulled out these three dresses, which included one that was perfect. Mary knows designs, style, and what works well for a bride in a way that is far superior to anyting I have experienced. She and her design team/seamstresses had my dress customized and ready in just a few short days.
