They were also very nice and I could relate to what they were telling me. I felt like they were determined to make feel the best I could. My daughter Betsy found her wedding gown here this past November. I spoke to Mary about altering a dress I’d worn to Betsy’s brother’s wedding. I finally brought my dress and two friends in today. Mary was very tactful and agreed with everyone else that I should start anew. I thought I wanted short but ended up with long in a very flattering silhouette - actually look shapely and a bit slimmer! I HATE shopping but this was relatively painless and not as expensive as I’d thought. My daughter found Mary’s Designer Bridal Boutique - I don’t know how, but I’m glad she did. Not only did September find her perfect dress but Mary turned to me and asked if I wanted a dress. Mary’s has been absolutely wonderful. Their set up is big and stylish, and this was a life time experience I thought I would never have. I was dressed like a doll and treated like a movie star. What a wonderful drop dead dress. I found it finally. I want to first say that I have looked at other dress shops and I had made a pre-order on hold at a store. That night I thought I had made the best dress for me. Then I kept looking at the photos and could not wait to cancel the provider . What was I going to do? I looked in the phone book at found Mary’s. Thank the lord Mary worked with me for hours and did she show me lots of dresses! She knew just what would look great on me. We went from all price ranges. The first time I came to Mary’s, I began trying on wedding dress after
wedding dress. Mary was keeping her eye on me and eventually came over and asked,
“would you like me to show you your wedding dress?” The second I
put it on, I knew it was my dress. I loved it more and more at each fitting.
When my wedding day arrived and I got to see all the pieces come together -
the dress, the veil, the jewelry, and the shoes (all of which Mary selected

Today’s experience at Mary’s was wonderful! I went to another bridal shop earlier today and was told to “grab a consultant” after I pulled my own gown. My experience at Mary’s was completely different. Mary (the lead designer) introduced me when I entered to the store and assisted me throughout the entire appointment. After shopping around at many different stores, we happened upon Mary’s.

Last summer when my stepson, Jeff, announced his engagement, I began to think
about a dress for his big day. I had a very disappointing experience early on,
trying to fit a rack dress over my body challenges, not the least of which a
70 Degree spinal curve. A friend suggested Mary’s. I came to select a
dress style and a dress color in late February at her boutique in Annapolis.
Today, I am leaving her shop with my beautiful gown. Mary personally supervised
the fittings, suggested the perfect jacket style, helped me with a selection
of earrings and other pearl accessories and finally made me a Fendi clutch purse
with pearl trim. I am delighted that my dress is elegant with simple lines and
look forward to wearing it at the wedding and in the future.

Mary has made my daughter’s pre-wedding experience so enjoyable, elegant
& pain free. Her expertise as an artist of wedding gowns is incredible.
They made my daughter, Heather feel like SHE was the only bride they were fitting.
All the nervousness that Heather & I (Mother) was gone shortly after entering
Mary’s. Her staff knew EVERYTHING about making Heather’s day the
most special day of her life.
Amazingly as it sounds, the very first dress Mary chose for Heather, which was

I really had no idea what kind of dress I was looking for when I started looking
for a wedding dress. I had been to another shop where I had tried on about 10
different gowns, some were very pretty and I had even considered buying one,
but decided I should go to one more place before committing. I came to Mary’s

sat down and talked with me for about 30 minutes about what I liked about myself

My mom and I stopped by Mary’s in January while my fiancé and step-dad
were sailing. We had been to Mary’s previously, and purchased two gorgeous
gowns for my step-brother’s wedding. Mary sat us down and we discussed
what kind of gown I was interested in. I had no idea! She suggested a beautiful
strapless, A-Line gown decorated with lace and diamonds. It was the perfect
dress! That day, we fitted the dress and found the jewelry to match, plus a
lovely veil. Over the next few months, we had the final fittings and addressed
any changes. the staff and Mary were always friendly and helpful. I am very
pleased with my experience here, and I know I found my dream gown there.

My initial visit was on Sunday, May 25th. Mary’s Boutique was the first
bridal shop my daughter and I visited. The gowns are beautiful!! Penni provided
simply wonderful service. This would be an extremely long, as well as difficult
decision. Mary’s Designer Boutique’s selection and customer service
made it impossible to go anywhere else… My daughter has her wedding gown!!

As soon as we entered Mary’s Designer Boutique, we were greeted promptly.
The selection of bridal dresses were exquisite. My mother and sister (the bride)
were very impresses after their first visit two days ago, however we returned
today and found “the’ dress. I felt very comfortable asking questions
to any of the staff, especially Penni. I would recommend Mary’s to anyone
looking for bridal attire.

Our experience at Mary’s has been wonderful. As a mother, we always want

Visiting Mary’s Designer Bridal Boutique is always an experience that
has brought me much satisfaction and appreciation. My daughter Margo and I had
a fun time fitting her wedding dress 2 years ago. Her gown was one of a kind

When I first met Mary, it was to help my girlfriend pick out a wedding dress.
At that time I thought Mary was amazing. A year later when I was proposed to,
there was no doubt in my mind where I would go. I had a certain look I wanted
and Mary has the vision to create it. My poor mom, actually walked out buying
a dress not only for me, but for my sister. Then wanting a 50’s style

Mary created a dress for my sister when she married in October 2007. Unfortunately,
I couldn’t go with Mom and Amy when she picked it out, so I went to Mary’s
to peek in the window for a glimpse. As I pulled up to the curb, I saw a lovely
creation of coral, crystals and ruffles spotlighted in the window. I fell in
love with the dress and thought it perfect for the upcoming Inaugural Ball.
Four months later, I stopped in to see if it was still in the window. Alas,
someone else had waltzed away with it, but Mary showed me a similar design.
Ahhh… she captured the essence of my personality in pairing the spun gold
lace overlay with Swarovski crystals scattered about the coral mist bodice and
her Givenchy bustle styled skirt. Her knowledge of fabrics, the way she re-creates
the vision in her mind of what you desire and the illusions she crafts from
them are absolutely stunning!
In Mary, I finally found the designer for whom I have been looking and I think
when Joshua sees me alighting down the stairs that evening, he will call me
Helen of Troy indeed.

It has been four month’s since my wedding and I am still getting compliments
on my dress! To be accurate, most compliments are that I was a beautiful bride,
which I know was Mary’s goal from the beginning. It’s not all about
“the dress,” it’s about making the bride look her best. Well,
it worked. But people still really like the dress too! And thank you for making

From the moment I walked in Mary’s Bridal Boutique I knew this was not
your typical bridal store. The staff was very friendly and the gowns were beautifully
displayed, unique and truly stunning!
I was introduced to Mary, the owner and designer of the majority of the wedding
gowns. I explained that my wedding was next week in Antigua and that I already
had a dress, but was interested in what she had for a destination/beach wedding.
She thoughtfully inquired about my preferences for a wedding dress, body likes/dislikes,
and description of our wedding location. She then pulled out these three dresses,
which included one that was perfect. Mary knows designs, style, and what works
well for a bride in a way that is far superior to anyting I have experienced.
She and her design team/seamstresses had my dress customized and ready in just
a few short days.
I was amazed. I have great appreciation for the time and attention Mary gave
to me and the quality work from her and her talented team. I highly recommend
