Your engagement photos are almost as important as the wedding day photos – especially if you want to capture the emotion and joy of this very unique moment in your life. What not to wear for this photo shooting, though? We have gathered some tips to help you dress up for the occasion – so read on and find out more.

Don’t wear anything that’s too casual. Yes, it is perfectly OK to wear a nice pair of jeans and a beautiful blouse, but don’t go lower than that. Training pants are a complete no-no, and so are sporty skirts and baggy jeans. You want to be captured at your very best and, sadly, clothes that are too sporty or too casual cannot do that.

Don’t wear mixed patterns and don’t match yourself entirely with your fiancé. It is really great to match your outfits – but please make sure you are not wearing the exact same color and that you are not mixing patterns that are much too different. It will look unflattering in the pictures – and that’s the last thing you want.

Don’t wear clothes that don’t match the location. Sure, finding a beautiful location is very, very important for the success of this photo shooting. At the same time, it is more than worth remembering that your clothes should match the location. For instance, if you plan on shooting the engagement photos in the countryside, it’s OK to wear clothes that are casual, but stylish.
